Our Difference

User Focused

When we work with a client we begin with meetings and workshops to collect and document the needs of key stakeholders.

The more complex the technology and its application (e.g. an operating theatre in a hospital), the more our consultants invest in ensuring we understands the users’ workflow. By understanding how the end user imagines the system will be used, we map our design to meet these needs and create a seamless technology experience.

During the information gathering and workshop stage of a project, our team focuses on listening to the user, asking good questions, and uncovering the users’ needs for the system.

UT Consulting is committed to providing bespoke technology solutions that address the requirements of the project’s stakeholders. Our team do not provide pre-package solutions, nor do we align ourselves with any specific products or supplier. On all projects our intention is to deliver a design informed by best practice, our teams’ decades of experience, and which ultimately caters to each client’s user needs.

Innovative & Independent

UT Consulting is independent from all suppliers, integrators, and engineering services consultants.

We believe consultants must maintain independence in order to protect their clients’ interests and have scope to innovate. If our clients want their technology to be the best, the most innovative, and the most secure this can only be done by selecting products and suppliers that excel in their niche.

We don’t believe any one technology company can provide a solution which will meet the customers’ needs right out of the box, especially in more complex operating environments.

Fundamentally, a pre-packaged technology design will have pre-packaged problems. To avoid this happening to our clients, we ensure our team are not obligated to specify any one company over another. We believe you must be independent to be innovative.

Specialised

The core of UT Consulting are our specialist technology consultants.

What makes our team unique is their hands-on experience using the technology packages they now design. With a robust practical, technical, and academic base our specialist consultants are industry leaders with a track record for delivering major technology packages.

UT Consulting has more talent in-house across the information technology, audio visual, and communications consulting field than any other organisation in Australia. For our clients, this allows us to deliver technology packages which consider the impact they will have across the IT, AV, and communications landscape. We believe technology packages cannot be designed in silos. At UT Consulting all our team have access to specialists in their respective fields so they can validate their designs in a broader technology context.

We also maintain Sector Leads for the key industries we service. Our Sector Leads specialise in the application of technology in the sector they oversee. For our clients, this provides them with access to specialists with the knowledge to design the system and the knowledge of how the system will be used in their context. UT Consulting currently employs Sector Leads in the Health, Justice, Education, Commercial, and Hospitality market.
