New Footscray Hospital

The New Footscray Hospital has officially opened, and we would like to reflect on our role in supporting this tremendous investment in Victoria’s health infrastructure.

UT Consulting worked closely with VIDA Health and Western Health to develop the following key project documentation to support the facility’s ICT, Communications, and Audio Visual systems:

  • Technical Architecture: Documenting the general ICT strategy, equipment groupings, ICT system requirements, schematics, budget estimates, spatial requirements, and communications interfaces with other ICT and engineering services.
  • Integration Specification: Providing a comprehensive understanding of the integration requirements for the New Footscray Hospital. The Specification considered user context and experience, represented the end-user devices that send and receive communications for each interface, provided a holistic integration design to support end-to-end workflow needs, and defined appropriate solution components and approaches to support operational efficiency.
  • Technical Specification: Documenting the State’s technology requirements. The successful contractor was required to provide a solution that complied with the Technical Specification, which included detailed requirements for each ICT and AV system to be deployed throughout the New Footscray Hospital.

We were delighted to be involved in the project and look forward to continuing our work alongside VIDA Health and Victoria’s health services.
